Crispy Green Beans with Garlic Dipping Sauce

Crispy Green Beans with Garlic Dipping Sauce- a healthy and addictive snack!

For all you veggie haters/dislikers out there, this one is for you!

I remember when I was younger, my mom used to make boiled brussels sprouts and they were just the worst thing (no offense, mom). Bitter, mushy, and soul-sucking. While that last one might be an exaggeration, I can distinctly remember wondering to myself why anyone would choose to have them as a side dish with dinner. Why ruin a perfectly good meal of pot roast and potatoes?!

Fast forward a good number of years and my thinking/cooking methods have evolved. I’ve learned the magic that is roasting veggies and it has changed the way I feel about eating vegetable for the better! While boiling them (in my opinion) makes them taste even worse, roasting brings out the natural sweetness/tastes of vegetables and makes them so much more delicious. Along with that, instead of a mushy grossness, you get a perfect crispness!…

Thinking Out Loud #5 (GIVEAWAY!)

Hey hey hey friends! How is everyone’s week going? Mine has been flying by and I’m excited for the weekend since I’ll be skiing in Big Bear with Kyle and some friends from college! Today’s post not only includes some random thoughts, but also a great giveaway that I’m excited to share with you guys! Thanks to Amanda for hosting every week’s Thinking Out Loud!

Jord Watches

Kyle’s style is definitely more earth-toned based and natural, so when Jord reached out to me about their wood watches, I knew one of their men’s watches would be perfect! Kyle’s old watch is one that he bought when we were in Switzerland on our school’s Europe trip after graduating high school. Since that was almost 5 years ago and he wears it regularly, it’s gotten to be pretty beat up and I’ve been on the watch (haha) for one that I thought he might like. I saw the Olive & Acacia watch from the Dover Series and knew he would love it!

Processed with VSCO with c5 preset

The watch is just as gorgeous in person and goes with pretty much everything in Kyle’s closet! I love how it can be worn casually or dressed up and that it’s such a unique piece! The wood and metal interplay is awesome and I already know Kyle is going to get a million compliments on it . I’m already eyeing so many of their women’s watches because I love the organic and natural feel and am jealous of Kyle’s haha!

And now for the fun part! I am SO excited to share this giveaway with you guys! Jord Watches is sponsoring a fun and easy-to-enter giveaway where the winner will get a $100 gift card to their site! Along with that, all other entries that don’t win will get a $25 e-gift card ad the close of the contest. Nobody loses out! This giveaway is only for Apple of My Eye readers, so you have a good chance of winning!

Glazed Asian Beef Kabobs

Glazed Asian Beef Kabobs- mouthwatering sweet and salty flavors and easy to make in the oven or on the grill!

In my opinion, there’s nothing tastier than the sweet and salty combination of sugar and soy sauce. I could seriously eat any sort of teriyaki or Asian BBQ for every meal of the day and I’m lucky that Kyle shares similar tastebuds. It’s fair to say that 9/10 times that we go out to eat, we hit up an Asian restaurant and order something with that blend!…
