You know those days when you just. freaking. need chocolate? I occasionally have moments when I just am absolutely craving brownies and –no shame– I usually keep a few boxed brownie mixes in my cupboard. Big food blogger win, I know .
I randomly stumbled upon this recipe for brownie bites on Pinterest and knew that it was perfect for whenever those cravings stuck! Also, saying that I had a few “truffles” instead of shamelessly eating the batter out of the bowl sounds a lot better haha.
They couldn’t be easier! You just mix the boxed brownie batter (I use gheredlli’s fudge brownies) with butter and then roll them in coca powder. The steps aren’t fancy, but they are delicious and will satisfy any cravings you might have! Woo!
- 1 boxed brownie mix
- ¾ to 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Combine the brownie mix with ¾ cup of the melted butter, stirring to combine. Depending on the brand of brownie mix, you may need to add a little more butter to make the dough come together (don't add too much or they will be too wet!).
- Use your hands to roll the truffles into small balls. Roll them gently in the coca powder.
(and not even fancy brownies, BOXED brownies)
