Ahhhh summer! Of all the months, summer has always been my favorite. I mean, how could it not be? You have warm weather and sunny skies, relaxing days spent next to the pool or at the beach, family vacations, BBQs, the list goes on and on! School is out for a glorious few months and, if you’re like me, you have a June birthday which always made the season special. In essence, summer screams positive vibes to me more than any other time of the year.
One of my favorite aspects of summer is that the toasty weather seems to bring people together. Everyone seems to spend extra time rekindling past relationships and we can take advantage of the long days to have campouts, potlucks, BBQs, and celebrations. My parent’s home has a great backyard/pool for hosting parties, so I grew up inviting friends over on a weekly basis and I loved being able to plan out activities and what was going to be on the menu.
As I write that, I see a trend. FOOD! For me, summer has also always had some of the best, most comforting food. There’s nothing better than enjoying a freshly grilled burger or ice-cold watermelon with good company. From roasting marshmallows for s’mores to taking turns being grill-master, I love that summer foods seem to involve activities that brings the kitchen outdoors. There’s something incredibly special about the communal feeling of everyone being involved in creating an amazing spread that can be enjoyed lazily throughout the day.
So now that I’ve spent a good amount of time singing praises to my favorite season, let’s talk about this unreal Cheesy Ham and Swiss Baked Sliders recipe! When Martin’s Potato Rolls reached out to me about creating something yummy using one of their bread products, my mind immediately jumped to sliders. I mean, is there anything better than fluffy potato bread rolls (SO good!) stuffed with plenty of honey baked ham and swiss cheese? Add on a brushing of an insane good butter-dijon mustard-poppyseed topping and I am left with nothin’ but heart eyes for dayzzz.
Seriously, guys!! This is the kind of recipe where I can guarantee the whole pan will be gone in a matter of minutes if you brought it to a potluck or other food-related gathering. You take one bite and immediately think “WOW!”. I plan on serving up a batch or two of these bad boys at an upcoming pool party I’ll be hosting and know that they will be the perfect recipe for that post-swimming hungriness that hits ya!
And not only are they yummy x 103007, but they are also SO easy to make! This is a 30 minute recipe from start to finish that can even be made in advance and just popped in the oven right before serving. When you open that oven door, you’ll be met with mouthwatering smells and gooey, melty cheese that does that perfect stretch when you pull them out of the pan.
Stretchy cheese, my friends, THAT’S how you know you have a winning recipe!
Along with that, Martin’s is a family owned and operated company that has removed ALL artificial dyes and ADA from their products and are non-GMO. That means you can rest easy knowing that your bread is made with love and is of the highest natural quality! When I opened up my first bag of Martin’s Party Potato Rolls, I couldn’t help but eat two plain rolls straight from the bag. The smells! The texture (fluffy to the max)! The TASTE!
So, so good. If you have any picky eaters in your household, Martin’s has you covered :).
I’m not just leaving you guys with a tasty recipe/photos today, but am also excited to host a giveaway where one lucky reader will receive a fully sponsored Martin’s party! The winner will receive a variety of Martin’s products along with some fun summer party supplies so that they can host their own Martin’s Makes Waves party!! Woot woot!
